Dome Light
OK. I give up. How do you run a wire to the dome light on a 55 Big Window. I can't seem to find a path to route a wire through the B-pillar. Seems to be drop only to about the level of the bottom of the glass. Can't see in there, can't feel in there. Ugh. Old wire is gone so I can't pull one with it. Hoping I don't have to resort to a clapper.

I learned the hard way that you never pull the old dome wire out unless you have a replacement wire or a wire pull attached to it. I've have run the wire from the light down the corner cab panel to the floor and over to the dash. If you use SXL grade wire it won't rub through, GPT wire will rub through under the floor mat |

i think the clapper would just flash on and off in our old noisy trucks
 i used a flat plastic packaging strip to run up thru the A-pillar, plastic strip like a package comes with not sure you can get anything thru the B-pillar you'll need to try a couple different ways: up and down; bending the end a bit to make a different path each time eventually it will go thru (about time all of your hair falls out)

Some one use a heavy string or twine and blew it thru with air hose, search box above might show the thread.

I used a piece of wire to feed the new wires through but my headliner was out and it wasn't real bad

I used .030" MIG welder wire. I removed the large plastic covers from the wire terminals and taped the terminals together so they wouldn't snag.

I've used a plumber's fishtape:
https://www.google.com/#q=fishtape ...and compressed air and a string. I have my equalizer, radio and DVD player in a pod above the rear view mirror -- in addition to the dome light and lighted sun visor mirrors, so I have some serious wiring up there (including coax for the speakers).
