when I got my truck the only dent it had was right in front of the drivers door on the cowl panel where the vent is. since then I have noticed a lot of ad trucks ive seen in junk yards have that dent in that area. just wondering if anyone else has noticed this

Re: ad question
Opening the door to lean over and look behind you, while backing up for loading, then catching the door on whats beside you.

Re: ad question
See posts 3 & 4 plus quite often the check strap is broken on the door allowing it to swing forward.
Outside of rust in the rust spots it's the most common damage to these trucks. It also comes from guys pushing the door forward when they step in or out of the truck and lean on the door to brace themselves.
