Vacuum Log, Killing time in the garage
I hate a bunch of clutter on an engine and engine compartment. I'm talking about a non-stock Truck, car what ever. Nothing kills a nice clean and detailed engine bay. Like vacuum hoses, wires and the like running and hanging all around.
My truck had a vacuum cluster right behind the carb. Which amplified the problem was the distributor was right there also. And with only one vacuum port in the intake manifold, which is located in back of the carb. The stock vacuum tree, just made the problem center stage. Its nothing new, I have made them before out of a chunk of brass. All I had today was some square tubing. A little welding and a few holes, tapped the holes out. Now it's still in rough mock up stage, it may not make it on my truck. But one very similar, I'll most likely mount it on the fire wall. It will clean up my intake, to one vacuum line feeding the log. A little black paint will hide it. Ken

I used one of these on my V-8 S-10, best I remember mine came from Harbor Freight and was less than 5 bucks.
