Burb 3/4 ton axles
I know a guy who has a mid-80's 3/4 ton Burb for sale. It's a 4x4 with a 454/Th-400/208 case. Does anyone know what axles this would probably have in it? I'm trying to decide whether or not it's worth going to look at. It probably has a little rust, but the motor's supposedly been rebuilt once and it has a 4" lift with 33's on it, and he wants $2200. Any thoughts on the axle's and whether this sounds like a reasonable price would be appreciated. Big Blocks Rule!

The mid 80s Burbs had the 14 bolt FF rear 'til 89-91 when they went semi-float. the front should be a 10 bolt corp. axle. They're not quite as tough as the 44HD, but they're not bad. $2200 sounds like a screamin deal. It's worth more than that in parts. Wish I could get it for parts for my wife's 89.

Murphy's Law! My dad went to check it out for me today, the one with the 454 is 2wd, and the 4wd burb the guy has is a 1/2 ton and it's really rusty. I don't feel so bad though because I just found a couple of other nice trucks I'm considering buying!
