Brakd bleeding/Proportioning valve - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Valve has a pin on the end and I hold that in w/ a "C" clamp while bleeding the brakes.Is this correct? Saw a thread s few days ago (can't find it) which says I should use a shim gizmo and loosen a bolt to slip it in and it goes under the mounting bolt,to hold the valve open?? I do not understand. Just put all new lines in and it is pulling to the right. Thinking; I will try to rebleed the brakes.

You can use whatever you want to keep that pin depressed while you bleed the brakes.

The "shim gizmo" is GM Kent Moore J-23709 super special mystery tool. It's not rocket science to make one and the homemade version doesn't cost $20 + shipping. Try this thread---->http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=722308
