Single wall top

I have a single wall top in real nice shape. Been sitting outside so needs a good scrubbing. I did a quick wash while the sun was still out earlier but needs more. No damage to the top other than a few minor chips on front edge.

Rear hatch is usable but does need work. Someone has mounted steel plates on the inside as shown in the picture and it has a crack on the outside as shown in the picture. The handle turns freely (no key) but the end latches are froze up. I have sprayed PB Blaster on them to see if they will free up.

The two front clips that bolt it to the windshield frame are there but none of the rear tie down brackets are there.

Asking $850 local pickup. Other than the two i have for my personal use it is the nicest one I have seen in a long while.
Top sold locally

Would you say the other hatch is in better shape than this one?

1st chance I get some decent weather I am going to remove this hatch and take a better look at it, but my tentative answer is yes I think the other hatch is in better shape. I may also send both handles out to try and have them keyed.

Re: Single wall top

I would love to buy your single wall, unfortunately I'm on the west coast in Southern California. Any ideas of how to get it here? I've never shipped anything that large cross country before. If we can find a reasonable shipper I'll buy it.

I don't think it would be cost effective to ship and I am not even sure if anyone would ship it

Not sure, let me take a look and get back to you.

Are you set on an original pc.? I can probably cut and bend one up to the proper angle as well

original would be nice but not necessary - it seems hard to get an original in great condition the past while I've been looking around -- let me know and thank you.

Re: Single wall top

Richard,
I am looking for the front corner top brackets for my 1970 Blazer, I have the 2 center ones but would like to have front corners as well.
If you have them let me know how much or where I might get some.
phone # 615-499-4744
Thanks Jim

The outer corner brackets are actually your sun visors. There is a bolt that goes through the sun visor to attach the top. I do not have any blazer sunvisors at this time.

The original one here is not for sale. I took it off my personal truck in order to make a sample cover out of aluminum. I did not have any lighter steel sheet here and would have to order some in order to make them out of steel. Don't mind the blue color, this was just a pc of aluminum i pulled out of the scrap barrel to make sure I could make the angled bend without too much distortion. The blue aluminum I used is .040 thick which might be a little thin for this application. I am going to look around later to see if I have any .063 or .080 scrap laying around. The cost of the material is pretty much nothing but between labor and shipping they would probably be $30 each.
