pics FINALLY!!
I finally bit the bullet and got a new digital camera.
Here are some more recent pics of my '76 K5. I bought it from the original owner about 8 months ago and have started some work on it....it was bone stock when I got it. Anyways.....let me know what you guys think. Hope these work....

Awsome looking truck but you need to edit your post and re-size those pics. its hard to get the full apritiation of it when you have to scroll!

Scoti, no...the ridge along the front leading edge of the hood...unique to 79/80 only.

I didn't either at first, but I did some snooping and found out. Does the hood on your 79 have it too?
I would bet the hood on the Blazer was replaced at one point it time...perhaps due to the ever so popular kinking problem.

bigblock73 - yes the '79 has the same hood. About 98% sure that this is the original hood. The original paint code on this blazer is 43 (light green) and the underside of the hood is still that same color. This color was no longer available in 79/80. |

That's a sweet looking Blazer! I REALLY mean no offence to you, so please don't take it that way, but DAMN, I hate seeing a straight, clean older model slammed with big wheels on them. It's a "to each his own" kinda thing, so don't feel like I'm telling you how to style your ride, I'm just commenting. It's just that there's so few examples of our trucks left, that are as pretty and relatively original as that one. I guess it's just because I love to see them clean and stock. If it's any consolation, 99% of the rest of the board will likely tell me to shut my pie hole and mind my own business
. That is a damn pretty truck, though. You must be proud of it.

Crush, I think it looks sweet regardless of what ever hood is on it. I resized your pics and cropped them a bit if you want me to post them for ya....
BTW- Is it just the angle, or does it sit a bit higher in the front?

Wow! I like that a lot. If I could have that and N2TRUX's truck, that would be all I'd need...
 I usually post pics at 640X480. It is the next standard size down from what you posted yours in. I always take pics at the largest size my camera will use (you can size them down if you need to, but you can't effectively make them bigger later...), then resize them with Irfanview from www.irfanview.com. It will resize photos as a batch so that you don't have to do them one at a time, and it is free. Slonaker |

Yep...that's him. He's thickheaded at times. I've told him that the 4l60e, if built right, should do what he needs but he's got it in his brain that he needs "bulletproof".

Crush, don't use the pics I posted. They suck. Either try resizing, or wait till I can play with them.
