What size lift kit does my jimmy have? Any help
I just bought a 72 gmc jimmy with 1 ton axles and suspension is the front end on each side is 31inches from center of hub to top of wheel wheel arch and the rear on each side is 28" from center of hub to top of center of wheel arch. Can anybody tell me what size lift kit I have? I have 37 inch military surplus tires and 16 inch rims. I would like to lower the truck a little.

If you are going to ask, at least right side up your pictures.
Did someone cut the whee openings? How long are the front and rear shackles? How long are your front and rear leaves? The front looks like a B52 kit but it is on the rear most hole so those aren't 52" springs. http://diy4x.com/product.php?productid=17716 The rears look like 4.5" shackles with DIY4x rear shackle flip. http://diy4x.com/product.php?product...cat=250&page=3 The front and rear don't look they are zero rated but one ton axles will add about 3/4" to your overall height. I would guess at least ~7" of lift to clear those 37" unless those fenders are trimmed up. And if you ask me how I know, I recently installed a B52 and shackle flip in a 69 blazer on 1 tons. 13 Last edited by 13jraven; 02-22-2017 at 11:17 PM. |

Measurement on both front and rear springs along surface from front eyehole to center bolt is 26"
