Can you order them bare (not painted) and then either have them powder coated or painted yourself?

looks like the truck rally will be coming back but with a 4.5bs not the old 5" style. part number on summit has changed.. may.9th is when they should be in stock. I have been waiting a long time for these. So don't buy my set!! LOL

Those wheels were not involved in the recall. We inspected all of the inventory when we were notified of the recall and notified anyone who purchased wheels that may have been affected. Thank you for your inquiry, Summit Racing Equipment

When I bought mine they showed up grey with a sticker on them that said they had a primer finish and needed a to be painted. Not what I expected since the product description said they were painted silver. I had them powder coated.

the ones I bought were suppoused to be properly finished evidently it was a hack job.. Earl scheib coulda painted em better

That is a subjective question. I'll tell you 5"bs sets the wheel in the center of the well when using a 71-87 length housing. Change the housing to something different & the back-space needs changing.
Another guy will come along shortly & tell you he has 10's w/3.5" of back space & they work fine. It depends on how the rest of the truck is set up to give the best suggestions in my opinion.

ive been eyeing these 37 series wheels, but wasnt sure if they would work with my disc brake setup (1972 C10 chassis), seeing your pics makes me assume they do? I have disc front and rear and was wondering if they were disc brake compatible. (i need 14" to clear the rotor/caliper on both the front and rear)
Summit and WV stated these were for pre 71 trucks and would not work. |

when i spoke to summit tech line, they specifically stated "oops we have this mislabeled they are actually for prior to 71 trucks without disc brakes" and no one at wheel vintiques can give me a definite answer if they will clear the calipers
