Re: Right outta the paint booth
Thanks. Color is Viper Red. Sprayed over a white primer so it really pops. Glasurit base and clear. Very expensive materials but worth it

Re: Right outta the paint booth
Hey thanks, just finishing a two year, 1500 hour frame off nut and bolt restoration. Was quite the saga but it's finally coming together. Tons of time spent making sure everything is straight, thanks for noticing. The big back window conversion went beautifully, if anyone has any questions about that I'm happy to help. It was actually one of the easier parts of the job. I agree with you about quality coatings. I learned the hard way that you can't skimp on paint materials.

Wow, that looks great right out of the gun. Definitely post some pics after it's done and out in the sun!

Re: Right outta the paint booth
62lwbc10, I "LIKE" it. I painted my 302 (for us old guys, most say 5.0) V8 Miata, '95 Viper Red. So, I'm definitely a fan. When you cut and buff, it's going to be a "knock your eyes out" sorta deal!!!

Re: Right outta the paint booth
Wow 62, looks fantastic. I absolutely LOVE it. Huge congratulations. I'm over the moon about my new red paint job too. Can't wait to watch it go together.
Man, red IS expensive. Holy moly.

Re: Right outta the paint booth
Yeah a lot of people saying that and I agree it does have a candyish look about it. But it's just a solid color, no metallic.

Door after sanding up to 4000 and then polished. Not too shabby.

Re: Right outta the paint booth
Nice, I'm just a little ahead of that stage, red also only darker. After looking at primer forever the paint is light at the end of the tunnel, now you can really see what it's going to be.

Re: Right outta the paint booth
That is nice. Great to see someone go to the effort to have a top rate paint job and a really nice finished truck.
