I have a question, I got a 4.8 for my c20 daily driver. And the question is should I keep both O2 sensors or just the one in the front? What else should I keep from the wiring harness for a daily driver? Thank you guy any help is appreciated .

Re: Ls Swap question
most people do a rear o2 sensor delete..you may not be able to where you live..you'll need the complete engine harness if your plan is to rework it..if your buying aftermarket harness you won't need it..I used psi harness and it calls for a different p/n o2 than what the donor truck came with

Re: Ls Swap question
Just the front 2.
Lt1swap.com has all the information you need. also you tube "project rowdy" That guy is putting a 5.3 into a jeep and walks you through his harness and engine rebuild. I too have a 4.8 I'm putting into an 85 c10. Those plus the knowledge on this board will be about all you need to work the kinks out. What transmission are you using? |

Re: Ls Swap question
What's wrong with keeping the rear 2 (as long as you still have the cats, of course)? That's how they ran factory... and that's how the LS3 runs in my 69 Camaro. All 4.

Re: Ls Swap question
I don't think there is necessarily anything wrong with keeping all 4, I think for swap purposes you only need the from 2 for the PCM. I don't think people usually swap exhausts with cats and stuff all that is usually custom

Re: Ls Swap question
If your doing your own harness, I'm not against keeping the rear o2 pigtails. It lets you run downstream sensors if you ever do choose to run a catalyst. The wiring itself can be tucked away.

Re: Ls Swap question
I bought a 2001 silverado low miles to put in engine and trans into my 1970 c20. I think is a 4L60e. Thank you for all the info I ask because project rowdy only kept one set of O2 sensors.
