Radio Antenna (or not)
Its time for you guts to pull my bacon out of the fire (again). I've installed my original radio into my truck but really don't want to install an antenna. I was at the Dr. George car show today (1100 cars) and was describing my dilemma to the owner of a 49 chevy sedan. He used a device that plugged into the car's antenna port and into his cell phone. It works great and would solve my problem perfectly. Trouble is, I don't remember the name of the device, something RAD, Its this old age thing, I guess. As usual, I know one of you has the answer.

Re: Radio Antenna (or not)
I used a hidden antenna mounted to the windshield.

Re: Radio Antenna (or not)
There was some discussion about this the last couple days at the end of my build thread. Some good food for thought on antenna placement.

Re: Radio Antenna (or not)
I have answered my own question this time. After extensive web browsing I have located this am radio / smart phone adapter. Its RediRad. I have seen this device used and liked it. This way I can play Pandora on my car radio. I have just ordered one ($100.00) and will keep you informed, if anyone is interested. BTW, I have one of those "hidden" antennas and I pick up a total of one station - Mexican music.
Thanks for the responses. |

Re: Radio Antenna (or not)
So I've been thinking about this for a bit. What about one of the newer shark fin or similar type mounted on the splash apron behind the grill? I was about to mount one of the stubby mast versions on mine.
