Re: What steering box do I want? '72 K5
I rebuilt mine. I got the seal kit from Rock Auto, and has not leaked a drop.

Re: What steering box do I want? '72 K5
Redhead steering boxes are the only way to go. I looked all the other options then decided to go with the quicker ratio that was offered. It has been one of the best upgrades that I have added. The blazer before replacing the steering box was a chore to drive, after replacing the box now it's a one hand operation. Glad I went with Redhead, give them a call.

"I hope that the steering box will solve your on highway driving. I changed mine with no difference checked balls everything come to find out rear springs were rocking back and forth. Spring pads were misaligned so i aliened the pads solved the problem. Good luck"
I hope it helps you also, but on mine it helped a little but not enough. Rather than hijack your thread, I will start another thread. |
