Want to sawp a 6L90e in my 86. What do I need to make it work??

I can pick up a 2014 6.0 vortec ls with a 6L90e trans complete. I have done swaps with ls engines and 4l60/65 e trans.. I know the 6L90 is totally different. Would I need an aftermarket paddle shifter?

No just did a 6l80E and used a column shifter. You would need paddles for tap up and down though.

Would you need to add a button for the tow/haul mode also?

Nope no paddles just the column shift. Was in a 56 GMC. LS3/6L80 Customer wasn't interested in manually shifting. Jay
