Rust repair. Where do I buy metal?
I have a new to me 1985 K30 crew cab dually. Does anyone know of anyone that sells full rockers? Or do I just need to buy two sets of standard cab rockers and cut them to fit? I need the complete inner rockers too, same story? I can't seem to find them anywhere.
I'm also looking for a small lift kit, like 3" for a reasonable price. Rough Country has a 6" that's pretty cheap but that's all they have. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |

I have heard that NOS rear rockers exist, but if you find a set you would pay dearly. I bought two front sets and modified accordingly. Just remember the front radius of the rear doors do not match. Some custom work will be necessary here. You can't just shorten it and burn it in....ask me how I know.

For lifts, Superlift has a kit for 3.5" and SkyJacker has 2.5" and 4" kits. Never ran a Superlift but heard decent reviews of them. It will obviously cost more, but if you're going to tow with it at all, I would get an all spring setup for sure. I've never been a big fan of blocks in the back. Had a SkyJacker setup on a Jeep awhile ago. Never had any problems with it.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'll look at the lifts, 4" would look nice I think.
Daddyjeep, how difficult is it to make the front rockers work on the rear doors? Would it be easier to cut one out of a suburban? I live in the rust belt so it's kinda hard to find good metal on old trucks around here but every once in a while a decent old burb shows up in the junkyard... |

I used tabco and key parts for my patches. Tabco has really garbage shipping but we had no issues with the patches I bought
