60-63 vent window question
Okay, so I installed the new vent window rubber, and I'm re-installing the vent window in the door.
On all 8 example doors I have here, the vent window rubber sits tucked into the door channel, leaving a small gap between the rubber and the door, so that's how I've installed my window. I'm wondering, though, if the rubber flap is supposed to go OUTSIDE, sealing the gap that would otherwise exist. The factory manual provides no guidance here. Can anyone confirm how this is supposed to be installed? Thanks, B |

All of the rubber gasket sits inside the channel.

I think this has been talked about on another thread. If my memory serves me correctly there was one person that was able to get the rubber to go on the outside but he said it was vary difficult and had to be vary careful not to scratch the paint. I think some have stuck a scrap peace of rubber in between to close the gap.
