I think with all the cars from the manufacturers today that they would have a hard time trying to enforce that issue...

MO state saftey inpector here! In Missouri there is no clearance law just a bumper being to high law.

Hey biglou55, go down to Holyoke or Springfield to get it inspected. That's your best best. Another thing, I think that most inspection stations have regulations on newer vehicle, not our year vehicles (their books might not go back that far). Good luck. I'm going to lower my '71 and will need to find a place that will let me slide.

I would take a good look around and see if enforcement practices match the standards that you were advised of. If you see a lot of lowered and raised vehicles it is likely that enforcement is somewhat lax like many are. It is likely that their manuals do not go back as far as your truck. If you dont do anything too radical it may reduce the chances that they will scrutinize your vehicle. Good Luck !!!
