Before and after. The first picture is my original bumper that got damaged by the previous owner. Its bent on the end. He tweaked it backing out of his garage taking out the grill in the process. The second picture is with the new grill and bumper installed. The bumper looks good, let's see how it holds up.

I've done two smoothie front bumpers from Brothers and have been very pleased with both. I am getting ready to order a rear in the next month or so as well.

Dont waste your time and money on LMC junk ass bumpers! Half the weight and thickness uf the origonals.Rear bumper had foam taped around it Took my thumbnail to scratch off scotch tape and my thumbnail scratched the crome plating! This was years ago before I found this site.Love how much info you can find here.

I bought mine from Wes at Classic Heartbeat and they are as nice as a factory one that was re-chromed.

LKQ is an aftermarket body supply that reconditions bumpers, bumper covers, wheels and various parts and also supplies aftermarket body crash parts. Sometimes the fit is a good as factory because they sell re-chromed factory parts and such. I would guess that it might be old stock possibly.

I have not checked it out yet, but I suspect you might be able to buy the parts locally directly from LKQ. If not your local Body Shop could buy the parts.

Bought one at the swap meet the other day. Woodall? or something like that. Anyway it was alright for the money. Fit good and Chrome is ok. I wouldn't buy it for a show stopper.

I've purchased several bumpers from Brothers Trucks. All have looked, fit and held up very well. Best of all... they carry a lifetime warranty on the chrome plating.

You know, it ain't easy getting good bumper pics, maybe it's my old sony camera... Anyway, RockAutos finest, I looked at the stickers on the wrapping and it said Keystone (a LKQ company).

Not bad for $180... and it is a rechromed original.

That does look great. What do you see on the Rock Auto site that gives you the impression it is a rechromed original? How did you shop for it and arrive at the conclusion it would be a good one to get? I don't really understand Rock Auto I suppose. I do not see any indication of the quality "rating" or what sort of bumper it is on Rock Auto, other than it has a 120 day warranty. I was going to ask the same question. I looked at Rock Auto the other night and didn't see any details on the product page that indicated if it was an original re-plated bumper, or a cheapo aftermarket.

I have a friend who has a shop that paints cars and he told me about them. I noticed they are out of stock on the fronts but if you look at the rear bumper it says "reconditioned" and "premium quality" and "USA chrome". I was kinda worried when I ordered them (reconditioned is a subjective term) but I'm glad I took the chance. I had Advanced Plating in Nashville quote chroming my old ones and it was $850 for front and rear.

I have another front in my rafters waiting to go on the jimmy, they were both rechromed.

True, is does say "reconditioned" in the description but when you click the "info" button next to that part number on the Rock Auto site it says that the bumper is a Goodmark part.

I wonder which it is, reconditioned or repop?

For the front bumper it does not say reconditioned in the description line nor after you click on the info button. Perhaps it said reconditioned before they ran out of stock. I don't know. Perhaps a 121 days out in the weather will tell, warranty + 1 day. That's how these things often turn out for me.
