steering column squeaking

My original steering column is squeaking and I am wondering what kind of lubricant should I use to try to get rid of the squeaking. The bottom bushing is brass.

I'm guessing the squeak is heard loudest INSIDE the cab. Make sure your upper bearing is properly seated. I'd use white lithium spray on the upper bearing.

If the squeak is from the shifter, then maybe you'll need to disassemble things to find it.

Maybe you'll share the part number and vendor name who you got the lower column bushing from? Please.

Re: steering column squeaking

I will take a look through my records. I was a few years ago when I bought the bushing.
