If you're not worried about numbers correct, you can find an aluminum one for $200 or less. More fore brass.

Re: WTB: 1960-1962 automatic radiator

I have one that came out of a 1962 C-10. It is a Harrison 3145865 R-65 61 J. The core measures 23 1/2" X 20" X 3". It looks to be in good shape overall, and would be worth restoring. I'll take take $50 plus shipping from Arizona 85123 which is in between Tucson and Phoenix, Az.

I also have the metal fan shroud that came off the same truck that had a 283 and auto trans. It is in excellent condition, not cut up, not rusty, just minor surface rust, all mounting screws there. $150 plus shipping from Arizona 85123.

Re: WTB: 1960-1962 automatic radiator

That is a hard to find pair here in my neck of the woods. Thats only the second time I've seen one of those original V8 shrouds. I had a 62 1/2 ton with 283 power glide transmission. It came with the metal shroud but it was trimmed back on the engine side. So I guess I should say this is the first one in nice uncut shape that I have seen. Hope it finds the correct truck to match up to.

Re: WTB: 1960-1962 automatic radiator

Wow, that'a a nice combination right there. And the price is very good.
I bought a good aftermarket radiator that looks stock (but without the numbers/name), and was happy with it... from Be Cool, I think. But it didn't come with the mounting tabs for the fan shroud.
For the price, that'd probably be worth having recored or repaired.
Just for giggles, send me a PM with what the total would be with shipping to zip code 30549.
I don't NEED need it, but I've got a '61 Suburban I need to get back on the road, and it needs a new radiator and shroud (killed by a deer), and I've got a '62 K10 I'm going to start on in the spring.

Brad , thats an automatic fan shroud. The Manual Transmission shroud is different , different mounting , unless your going automatic in your K series truck ?

Re: WTB: 1960-1962 automatic radiator

The automatic radiator and the 1-ton radiator (and maybe 3/4-ton) are larger than the 1/2-ton manual trans radiator. They're a little wider, and a little taller: they make up the difference in the mounting flange: they'll still bolt into the 1/2-ton core support.
The automatic shroud also covers the entire radiator core, the manual trans shroud is just a barrel, so it doesn't pull air through the edges or corners.
So that's a better package for cooling than the stock 1/2-ton stuff. Nice for Atlanta, really nice for low rpm driving through woods and trails.

Oh, I COMPLETELY understand! No hard feelings whatsoever. I forgot to add "if the deal falls through" when I asked for a zip quote.

Good pieces--he'll make good use of them!
