New 1977 GMC C15 Sierra Classic Suburban
Just bought this 77 GMC C15 Suburban. 350 v8, 350 turbo, 2 wheel drive. 4 barrel edelbrock carb, AC truck. A little rusty around the rear side windows, and bottoms of the fenders behind the rear wheels. Otherwise very straight. Tow package, manual windows and locks. Runs and drives very good. Looking forward to repairing the rust and doing some interior clean up. needs carpet replaced, headliner and some small parts on the front door panels.
The first day I had it I used it to tow home a 1967 Ford Thunderbird. The trailer lights worked with an adapter and even the ancient trailer brake controller worked! |

Awesome old iron. Love the 77 yellow stripe in the trim.

Just installed the 15 inch corvette style rally wheels and center caps. Really happy with the way they look!

Here's a great way to add a better version of the original chrome piping around the dash bezel: http://www.brandsport.com/trmg-m301-05.htm

Re: New 1977 GMC C15 Sierra Classic Suburban
I removed the carpet out of the rear cargo area and I'm glad I did. There was a lot of moisture under the carpet and pad and the floor was rusting in spots. There are also a couple small rust holes. Hopefully I can get those repaired soon. Vavuumed out the rest of the truck. I need some new floormats for the front to keep some of the carpet intact until I can replace it.

Re: New 1977 GMC C15 Sierra Classic Suburban
Another picture of the Burb towing a car. Love having the tow package and old school trailer brakes that still work. The green 78 GMC C20 is another truck I rescued off the side of the street in my home town. Got it running, some new tires and a tune up and sold it to a good friend. He drives it almost daily. Oh ya, and threw my Yakima rain gutter roof rack on just for grins.

That's a nice looking rig. Good grab. Glad to know that it's not just going to be out there getting chewed up by the elements.
