Quality of chrome?
I am thinking of getting new chrome grill and bumpers for a 1950 Chevy truck and I'm wondering if there are any brands or places to buy that are better quality than others? I know not all are equal. Can anyone recommend one, or warn of one over another? My originals may not be good enough to rechrome.
Thanks. |

Re: Quality of chrome?
Don't know where you are in Oregon but there is a chrome shop in west Salem. They are right on Hwy. 22. I don't know about their quality personally but I have heard they do good work.

Re: Quality of chrome?
I got mine for my 56 from Classic Parts Of America. Its been about 3 years & they have held up real good. LMC has 2 diff. qualities & the premium one is guaranteed 5 years.

Re: Quality of chrome?
I got mine there also (grill, F&R bumpers, tail lights, tail gate hinges and mirrors). All were first rate.

Re: Quality of chrome?
I got mine for my 56"s from Classic parts and they were good. I have not bought new chrome grill for an AD before so just checking. I had good painted grills. I just ordered grill and bumpers from them and will see.
