Front shock mounting bolt
So am I making this harder than needed? I can’t seem to located anywhere that sells the shock stud that bolts into the frame for the front shock. Somewhere along the line, someone welded, and I use that term loosely, the stud to the frame since the hole was a wollered out. I’m going to remove them, weld up the hole and re-drill, but can’t seem to find the dang stud anywhere

Just about every time I by shocks for the front from NAPA the box has a new stud in it. Takes a 15/16'' socket for the nut. 5/8'' hole in the frame

I bough a RideTech kit that did not include them with the shocks in the kit. I know they’ve got to be available. Maybe I’ll just venture in to a brink and mortar and see what they have. Thanks

I bought Monroe shocks and got net studs with them

Another option: 4wd with factory dual front shocks. The second shock bracket.

I welded mine up and put a 1/4" steel washer on the inside of the frame and welded that in. I then replaced the outer bracket with 1/4" steel. (4x4) But could be done with 2x4 too. Then a nice grade 8 bolt and no stud necessary.
They will never waller out again.

Thanks everyone. I did a little digging and was able to find them at Classic Parts (https://goo.gl/cxV6Jm. They just happen to be about 20 mins from me. I had googled and searched for some time. All it took was changing the search to studs and mount and it came up. Sheesh!
