Patch Panel Help
Need some help - does anyone sell a patch panel to replace this part of the cab right where the floor meets the firewall on driver and passenger side?
Thanks |

Re: Patch Panel Help
Yeah mine's even worse. Was looking today at ecklers trucks. They have any and all patch panels available. So does lmc and others. Just Google c10 patch panels if you care. They are often cheaper to buy than build if you don't have the metal around and then fabricating them takes time. Unless it's a custom piece or super easy I just buy them now. For example you can buy an entire floor for our trucks for 550 +a lot for shipping. A local shop just did a 55 truck and I watched them do a new roof, new floor , rockers and fire wall So basically a new cab. Took them 3 day. Pretty wide aray of sizes too. You can go just do a piece to the. Firewall bend and or drive seat or from firewall front to back with different pieces. Check it out. Lots of fitting I am sure but a easy start. Ecklers are all 16 or 14 gauge. Good luck. Mine needs all cab supports , inner and outer rockers and both footwell. I am skinning doors to (95 bucks cheap) should have bought a better cab! Just spent 2k on new bedsides fenders and wood too! Ugh! Oh Well it's fun!

Re: Patch Panel Help
Or any other section. I just tried as well. I was really hoping I'd be able to see what they have, no one seems to make any floor sections that go far enough up towards the firewall.

Re: Patch Panel Help
Yea - its a hidden area on the cab and relatively flat so I am going to just patch with some sheet metal and report back.

Re: Patch Panel Help
Jeff most of the inner rocker patch panels (looks like you need) will go up about 4 inches up and that will get most of what you need. The foot well patch will fix where it meets the side. For the little bits that are left you can use the drop from the other patch panels.

Re: Patch Panel Help
I found a picture of my drivers side before I welded it(FYI the two holes are where the dimmer switch is)I did exactly like jimmy explained, new kicks, new floor,I also did the cab mounts, the metal around the dimmer switch was still good so I didn’t need to go that far up,hope this helps a bit

Re: Patch Panel Help
Thank you. I know we could call and ask for a catalog, etc. but the internet has spoiled us. Now we want to look at pictures of everything from the comfort of our la-z-boy.

Re: Patch Panel Help
Thank you for following up. This is the left hand "toe board" and must be upside down. But for 60 bucks may be worth a shot.
EDIT; 40 BUCKS TO SHIP - NO CHANCE |
