Light bulb from column
Can someone tell me where this goes? Wire is coming from column harness...69 C10...

That bulb goes into the back of the gauge panel. There are several bulbs already in there...so it may not matter which one it replaces, but there should be a missing bulb in the back of that panel.
The other end of the wire goes up the steering column and lights up the shift indicator....so basically the cable itself is an older 'fibre optic' cable. The light bulb provides the light....which goes through the tiny exposed end of the fibre optic...and then ends up lighting your shift indicator 'prndLL' stuff... Coley

I see the hole. Is the bulb/PRNDL getting power from cluster? I had other plans for vacant spot on cluster.

The prndl is lighting up because of the wire in your hand.
That is a fibre optic cable. It carries light given off by the bulb up through itself and eminates it on the prndl sector. If you don't want the prndl to light up, then leave it loose. If you want light on the prndl sector...you are going to have to plug that in to one of the light socket apertures on the back of the cluster. Coley
