Just finishing reading through and have to say that this is a great thread!
Also have a question about the 63 and 64 fender badges. Are the mounting studs in the same place between the two? Basically asking if I could put a 63 badge on a 64 fender without having to drill any extra holes?

Factory jet on my dad's 61 GMC. He bought this truck new in 61. I fixed it up 35 years ago. It's on my list of projects after I finish the 67 GMC and 69 3/4 ton 4x4.

Well that's unfortunate. Whenever I get the chance to find some fenders I'll have to drill new holes. Should probably put the engine back in first though
