what transfer case is in my 1967 k1500
Hello everyone,
I was reading another thread and got curious about my transfer case, so I took a picture. I was thinking (hoping) I had a NP205. I read the 205 was not used until 69 is this correct? Here is a picture of mine. I believe it is a rockwell t221. Im not familiar with Rockwell. What are the pros and cons if any. |

Yep, Rockwell 221. Big & solid but parts are scarce.

Used through '69. Locating parts is the only potential problem: it's a tough unit made with good ratios.

The only NP205s in '69 were Blazers with automatic. Blazers were the first automatic 4wds from GM.
