rear brackets on 2nd row
Can anyone tell me if the rear brackets on the second row full size seat and the rear brackets on the 3/4 second row are the same brackets?

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
I think he's talking about the rear brackets on the full width center seat vs the 3/4 width center seat..
as far as I can tell the brackets are similar, but there seems to be right and left corners.. this would obviously affect hole locations so please don't quote my seat install as factory but something to get thread going.. keep bumping this, someone with both factory setups will share the answer with us.. good luck!

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
All 2nd row brackets I have encountered have been the same regardless if it was 48" or 60" seat. the tubular brackets on the front of the seat are roughly 7" tall and the rear stamped brackets are roughly 2" tall. As Killer Bee stated there are left and right brackets.
The 3rd row is 4" tall front and rear. So to answer your question yes the brackets fit either seat.

Did you check the Burban seat sticky above?

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
They bolt directly to the floor. Let me see if I can find my pics

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
This pic is 3rd row but was same as the 2nd row as far as the middle belt attachments. The belts have a longer tapered boot to them

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
not sure that's correct regarding the number of rear brackets on the full width 2nd row seat..
maybe the bracket configuration changed through different model years? I'm not entirely sure about the handing of the brackets in mine, but both of my full width 2nd row seats have four brackets.. just peaked under the tarp for a quick pic of this one, only difference between it and the one in my 71 is the right side bracket.. the 71 above with both full benches installed is fairly unmolested, highly doubt either seat has been changed.. my 3/4 3rd row in my 72 only has two corner brackets as Richard pictured above..

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
My 72 plain jane burb I just parted had full width 2nd row and only had 2 rear brackets. Belts were bolt to floor in the middle. I am not sure if it was a year difference or plant difference. As with the 3rd row seats there seems to be no rhyme or reason.

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
But the yellow 72 I parted had 4 rear brackets. Makes ya scratch your head.

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
maybe someone started parting the plain jane before you did
seems like a full width seat for three adults would need some support in the middle?? either way, if the op is crafting a suburban back together, and the brackets line up with the seat and the floor attachments, I'd run 'em! the brackets will accommodate the typical seat belt attachments which may also be a plus.. I like stock as much as the next guy, but I am seriously considering rear facing that 3rd row in my 71 and keeping the 2nd row full width.. only concerns are safety and I was hoping to utilize all six shoulder belts.. still researching, but thinking of doing this; for these guys

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
My full size second row does not have provisions for 4bracketsso I will just bolt the seat belts to the floor. Sometimes the simplest solution is overlooked. Thanks

Re: rear brackets on 2nd row
My 67 plain Jane full width second row seat only has two seat brackets and the belts bolt directly down to the floor with no boots.
