Shocks
I have a 1966 Suburban with 2.5 drop spindles and 1" drop coils in front and 3" drop coils in back and am wondering what people are using for shocks on similar drops.

As long as you don't remove the metal part of the A arm bump stops in the front or notch the frame in the rear, you can run stock length shocks. If you remove the metal part of the front arms or notch the frame, since you are now traveling up more than the factory would allow for, you would need to find shorter ones, based on how much lower from stock it could go.
I am running stock length Bilstein shocks with a similar drop to yours (4" in the rear).

Your ride height is really close to mine. I run a set of QA1 Stocker Star single adjustable shocks front and rear. I measured the shock lengths at ride height, and ordered the shocks with a mid travel-length (difference between fully extended and collapsed) measurement that was as close to my measurement.

I've run them on a couple of my hot rods, and several customer cars. IMHO, they are one of the best values and provide the best ride for a single adjustable shock...especially for a truck where the weight can vary quite a bit in the rear.
