Difference between Wilwood and Factory 1 1/8" Master Cylinders
What is the difference between the factory 1 1/8" MC and the Wilwood unit? I'm planning my brake upgrades and would rather not use the Wilwood if I don't have to. I obviously plan to use an adjustable proportioning valve to fine tune the front/ rear bias, and will also use the disc/disc combination valve (probably the one from LMC).

Good question. I do not know, hopefully the more learned will educate us.

The look is the big difference, and it is set up for the kit they sell. Meaning that it will work with out mods to the mc itself.

Not sure what you mean by that, but the factory mc does not require any "mods" per say either.

I have wildwood disc on the front, drums on the rear of my truck, that the previous owner installed, with the stock cast iron mc with 11in booster. no proportioning valve on the mc. it stops nice with stock mc no issues but now im looking to upgrade the mc was looking at wildwood or summit brand aluminum mc.

Question: is this for the 77. Qoute:The look is the big difference, and it is set up for the kit they sell. Meaning that it will work with out mods to the mc itself. He means there MC works with there set up. but it you use a factory mc you may or may not have to a just it (may be in the rod)

If so why there no factory proportioning valve on the center frame down by the bottom of the rad by the frame steering gear.
