Engine identification
Hello community,
can anybody help me to identify my engine. I'm not able to find the right information. Should be a 235 cui, build in a 61 truck with vin 1C154L Thank you. Joerg. |

Sorry it didn't help. I don't know much about 6 cylinder engines as I am a V-8 guy. Someone will chime in that knows more about them soon.

D 4 1 = April 4, 1961 I believe.

that sounds better, I have this information and thought that there is something missing.

A = January through L = December. The center two digits are the day of the month. The final digit is the year the engine was made WITHIN the years that you narrowed it down to when you deciphered the Casting Numbers to the right. //quote off BTW. The Engine Casting Number is 3769716 and it should be built from 58-62 Thank you |
