700r4 question
how long do you guys think a stock '84 700r4 with 50,000 miles on it would last behind a gm crate 350 (the 260 hp/ 350 fp of tourqe)?

IF you are doing the motor, you ought to spend a little money and freshen up the tranny too. It should last as long as the motor.

It really depends on what shape it's in. The stock 350 won't have much more effect on it than the 305 did. 84 is not a good year for 700R4's for sure, but if it's been taken care of, it should last at least another 50K's. Adding an external cooler will help tremendously.
