Re: cut truck frame for blazer/jimmy mode?

First,... did you tell Teeitup you would take it?
Now you are trying to decide if you want to back out?

You were just about to shorten your swb frame and fab all the new tub mounts, correct?

A few repairs like this shouldn't be a problem,...

Re: cut truck frame for blazer/jimmy mode?

That hole in the 4x4 front crossmember won't matter since it will be removed.

You need a good 2wd disc brake (complete) crossmember assembly with all steering components.
Auto trans crossmember.
And you need to decide if the rear suspension is going to stay leaf spring or will you be changing to coil spring.

Re: cut truck frame for blazer/jimmy mode?

Eleven inches cut

between the trailing arm crossmember and where the automatic tranny mount would be.

That is how i got mine.

Re: cut truck frame for blazer/jimmy mode?

I would do something different next time though--

I like the material thickness of a 3/4 ton 2wd frame........ Less flex
