Truck, Corvette steering hub mount the same?

I am planning on running a 58 Corvette wheel in my truck, is the column shaft splines the same as the Corvette? Don't expect anyone to know this but tossing it out there.

This post on HAMB suggests it's worth a try.

For any other car I'd say yes, but GM was known to do things differently in the Vette line.

Right on, no one ever answered the guy when asking specifically about the Corvette but it looks like it will work, I'll buy the hub and see!

Brian, Thanks

Re: Truck, Corvette steering hub mount the same?

I believe it is. One of the trucks I saw in Classic Trucks Magazine years ago that inspired my build had a Corvette wheel on a Cadillac Column. Here's a link to the online version. Doesn't show the steering wheel in the online version but it is shown in my old copy of the magazine. It is mentioned in the text though..

Cool, I have the wheel and the turn signal housing and switch and horn button, now I need to get the hub.

I can't afford a 56 Corvette but damn it, I can make my truck into one!
