It prolly took china FOREVER to get it right so you wouldnt want em to try and figure out hole spacing for emblems lol

If I needed one, I would. But I can't see paying $300 plus shipping, plus another $20 for oversized shipping, just to check out the quality. I added it to my cart, just to see the total, $351.70

Some stuff maybe. But so far, some of the GM Restorations parts that I have checked have been spot on, identical to an original. Take the Bowtie as an example. Side by side comparasion, you wouldn't be able to tell which was OEM/NOS or the Restoration Part. It even has the same part# stamped on the back.

seen usa1industries are starting to sell these too....wonder if there the same quality or better? definitely looking to buy one of these this winter

I thought there was an issue with the “graining” pattern on the repro bowtie not being the same as the GM one.

I gotta call Randy (USA1 Industries) about a few other things, I will ask him about the tailgate band. If it's the same one that LMC is selling. Although it shows on their website, as being out of stock and $100 more.

I would love to hear some feedback if someone ends up buying one - I gotta believe this is going to be a high-demand item - these bands are really hard to find in good shape. I will need one myself in about a year.

Here's a very nice original and then the repro. The grain looks the same to me. The color looks off, but that's my lighting. Depending on the time of day, with the light that come in the garage, I have a hard time getting good pics. Especially when it comes to the center moldings.
