I'm putting in my 2" lifted rear leaf springs this weekend.

Any tips?

Where should I jack up the suburban in the rear? Any other helpful tips would be welcome.

jack it up on the frame, stick jack stands under the frame, then use the jack to stick pressure on the rear axle.. unbolt the u bolts, then you can lower the rear down a little and unbolt the spring.

Just unbolt the U bolts, then jack the frame up, and then unbolt the shackle from the spring, or just torch the bolt off, then unbolt from the spring hanger. Install the new spring in the reverse order. Do one side at a time. You might have to unbolt your shocks too.

well said Bobby/KTK. i used the same methon on my '73 GMC's rear 2" lift. problem is, i'm not sure how to tackle the front end...

it's a 2wd pickup so i bought a spring kit for the front but it came with no real instructions... any advice?

springs on the front went faster for me. one side at a time. attach front first.
when you do the rear if both sides are disconected, my differential wanted to flex a little at the Ujoint.

just seen you were talking 2 wheel.oops.
