Painting the side trim insert another color than black

Putting new trim on the truck thinking about painting the “black” the same color as the grille and headlight bezel color need opinions want to do something different

This photo is with the black part brushed with a scotch brite pad but it washes out another small piece painted silver

What’s your guys opinions I’m thinking the same color as the grille

Thanks

I think silver/gray blends with the chrome too much. I like how the black breaks it up.

I always liked the yellow of the 77s. Same color as the emblem.

I would go back with the black . my 77 k3500 is black the 77 had yellow mustard original colors but I went with the black on my truck it is yellow and it didn't look that good to me with the yellow.. the black looks better than the
color of your grille to me . my op.

I think my 73 was a yellow/gold color to match the accent color on the dog dish hup caps.

Quick tip, whatever color you go with, instead of painting, if you have the trim off, take it to a place that does wraps, lettering, decals stuff and have your color inlay installed, easier and neater than masking and painting.
