Wiring connector for back-up switch
I found the wire terminal plug that goes to the back-up switch on the transmission is messed up. When I barely got it inserted onto the terminal, it works. But it falls off too easily. Is there a source for just the terminal plug?
I would show pictures, but Flickr is being stupid at the moment.

Did the plug come into contact with hot exhaust pipes? Don't know of any vendors carrying Backup Light Switch Plugs for the SM465. Seems like a junkyard quest, or post a WTB ad. For pix, I upload my digital camera shots to my laptop, then pull them out of the Pictures file to post. No middleman.

Here is a picture. I thought we were limited on digital space for posting pictures. I tend to take a few.

Re: Wiring connector for back-up switch
The system chokes on multiples. There is a limit to 5, but I've been rejected by 2 or 3 sometimes. Often I get some gibberish about 'Security tokens.'' If I wait or cut down the number of pix, it posts.
Funny, LMC sells the Backup Light Switches, but no pigtails for it. I would try Saxart's idea. How much have you cleaned off that gearbox? Maybe if you got it very clean, things might just fit. Spray it with degreaser, then taxi over to the $1.50 carwash and zap it good. Wear your wetsuit. Clean trucks run better. Plus you'll be dropping off 20 to 50 lbs of caliche.

Just ditched my stick for an auto, so got that harness neatly bundled. If you were closer, i would offer it up to you, but otherwise check the bone yards.

Re: Wiring connector for back-up switch
Have you compared it to the connector used on the front turn signal? They look pretty similar to the 68-72 style.

Re: Wiring connector for back-up switch
Are you stuck on having an oe connector? I used female 1/4" spade terminals on mine. polarity doesnt matter, its simply closing a ground circuit.

Re: Wiring connector for back-up switch
I was thinking of doing that, thanks for specifying the size. Having Pebble Beach standards is out of the question.
