Truth is FB72 is I have a bet with of all people ...my boss...that before the end of the summer I'll beat his 2003 Yukon at our local strip. I think this combo should help. My drawback will be the 307 gear.

If I run the "Brown Table", should I remove the litter box from underneath it for weight reduction or move it to the back for weight transfer

You bring up an interesting point Bowtie. On an earlier thread I posted it was suggested that if the springs were in good shape ( in this case new) that new springs would not be necessary. Do you think that running the stock Vortec springs with this cam would be an unwise choice?

for the price of "Z28" springs its a wise choice to replace the stockers. Its a mild cam, but you will be reving quite a bit higher than a stock vortec. The last thing you want isto break a spring.

I think I would have a reputable machine shop double check. I personally have not run Vortec heads, I here they are ok to 450 lift but there might be a seat pressure issue of the springs for a performance cam. It is easier & cheaper doing it now then later after the motor is all put together and have something go wrong.
