Tire Pressure
70 3/4 ton with 265/75/16 tires. What tire pressures are you all running empty?

235/85R16 on my 70 C20, I run somewhere between 36 and 40.
245/75R16 on my 97 burb, I think I run the factory spec - 36psi

What does "keep the rubber on the pavement" mean? Isn't the rubber of the tires aways on the pavement? Do you have a max pressure in small raised letters on your tire?

I have 235/85/R16 tires on a '68 C/10. Yokohama Geolanders. They take 45 PSI.

I know part of it is the leaf suspension at the rear, it seems sometimes when I hit a really rough patch of road in a turn, seems like the rear bounces off the road. Not a good feeling. Usually when I am going just a little too fast and and not expecting it. There is so much construction around here on the freeways these days. I've actually seen the wheels leave the pavement on a unloaded set of doubles, usually bottom dumps.
