Power window harness
I’m changing my manual doors over to power windows and power locks. Does anyone know where I could purchase the wiring harness to do this. Thanks in advance for your help. Darin

Re: Power window harness
If you can find the setup in a junkyard or ebay that would be a good option, but these old systems get to be quite slow in operation. You can also get a relay upgrade kit from LMC which will help quite a bit. Or, there are a few vendors online who sell the entire set up which will be all new components but it usually does not look factory. A factory look will require the use of factory style switches.

Re: Power window harness
Cleaning and lubricating the motor will help a bunch. Lubricating the linkage is a big help too.
After 40 years you'll also want to replace the guides and scrapers with good quality pieces. Be sure to lube the fluffy flocking in the new guides with powdered graphite or a dry silicone spray. Don't use anything that stays wet or greasy. I lean toward the graphite powder as it won't eat the rubber that makes up the base of the guides. IIRC There's a writeup somewhere on this board for replacing the side window guides and scrapers. Not difficult but it's fairly fussy to do it right.

Re: Power window harness
I had a pair of good 77 power regulators. I was thinking I would put new later model motors on them. I have found the harnesses at Eckerts. Does all this sound Savy??
