Oil dipstick location
I'm running a 5. 3 out of a 03 GMC Yukon. Installed it in my 67. Now I'm starting to put everything on and I realize now that the dipstick is blocked by the headers. Un if you have pictures of your dipstick that you used in your LS swaps with headers?

Re: Oil dipstick location
The bends pretty extreme already. Should I heat it first?

Re: Oil dipstick location
I used my brake line bender...no heat....but mines better quality than the cheap ones though...
I've seen a flexible dipstick on summit...might work for you if nothing else does...not cheap though

Re: Oil dipstick location
I used a Camaro dipstick tube and cut down my stock truck dipstick to the right length for the shorter Camaro tube. I did it mainly for looks but it also cleared my Speed Engineering headers.

Re: Oil dipstick location
I used my stock gen 4 truck dipsticks and tubes. They cleared the headers and bolted to the original location. I will get a picture for you today. I will be there in about 1 hour.

Re: Oil dipstick location
I ended up buying a Lokar dipstick. I had the same issue with my headers and this dipstick worked out perfectly. Plus it will never blow out and it locks.
