66 C10 Holley 750 Throttle Cable Connection

I have a Holley 750 while using 67/72 throttle cable and pedal.
Looking how to finish the connection between the 2

Connect it with an e clip to that post that has a groove in it is how I connected mine. I'm using a squarebody pedal, but same general idea and cable type

That post with the groove is part of the kick down lever on his Holley.
It moves independently from the throttle lever.
