Trouble reinstalling stored rotors
Im unpacking stored rotors that I had removed years ago and thought I had enough pics of the teardown to help but this ones spotty. Ive unpacked a bag of parts and found that there is one washer part that I dont recall. And I only see one, which I would think two would be needed. The 66 I have had a disc brake conversion with parts from I think a 72.

Re: Trouble reinstalling stored rotors
I've only ever seen the one toothed washer on all the vehicles I've done bearings on.
Is there some reason why you have extra washers? Are these the right rotors for your spindles?

Re: Trouble reinstalling stored rotors
These should be the correct rotors, they were isntalled by a local custom shop 3 years or more prior to me tearing things down. Never had any issues with them when I was driving iot all those years. I bagged up all I found as I did the tear down..maybe this was a spacer/shim? Maybe it wasnt supposed to even be there, im not sure.

Re: Trouble reinstalling stored rotors
I have seen extra washers in the past on stuff I have worked on. Most of the time they were needed to get the castle nu out far enough to get the cotter pin to work. The correct solution was the castle not correct and the one used was thinner. I would slide the rotor up on the spindle and see how things look.
