Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

While my paint and body guy has the bed, doors and front clip, I was able to get the rear section of the K10 shorty’s frame pressure washed, cleaned and painted. Also got the radiator core support painted too.

Got the cab bolts all loose and ready to pick it up to swap it over to the new frame. Front clip is off also.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

My granddaughter will be 16 I'm a little over a year. I went out to the warehouse and picked up her truck and took it back to the shop so we could start getting it ready for her to drive. Hugger Orange, factory air, with less than 60,000 miles
We bought it from the original owners son.

That is one nice looking plating job on that carburetor! I hope that the rebuild job is that good. I rebuild my own. Next time I rebuild my Q-Jet I should buy the plating kit!

It looks like it will be a while before we will get started on this Blazer, so we loaded it up to take to storage.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

Pulled mine out and checked the fluids then took a drive down to put some fresh gas in it. Most people park their trucks for the winter. I parked mine for the summer. Got too dang hot to drive without A/C here in Texas.

We've about finished up this wood veneer project. Slow progress with the cooler weather out here increasing drying times of the finish coats. Final sanding shown here..

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

Since the seat was out and waiting on parts for fuel system... figured I would freshen up my gauges..... short a couple of LEDs and have some socket issues so more to come there but I think the general cleaning came out nicely.

finish dressing up the gauge cluster and tried it out. Not going to fully install it until I get my gas tank in and know for sure that putting the ground will reset the gas gauge. I think it looks awesome I love the light

Thank you. I actually made one from 1x3 tubing, you can see it in the bed of the truck in the second picture, but I didn't like how bouncy the trans was. I know I could have simply adding some more structure to it, but the time involved to do so was more valuable than the cash to buy the new one from MetalTec that is currently in the truck, and it's stout for sure. Very nice product. I just need to get everything test fit, then remove it to get a coat of paint on it.
