I believe they were originally painted GM code 12 gloss white. Also goes by code WA5111.

My 84 GMC wheels seem to be the Frost White color. I just bought a wheel since I didn't have a spare, so painted it gloss Krylon White for now

I was told by a good Collector friend of mine - Michael Newman on the FB [NOS Squarebody] Parts group that it was Frost white as you mention, He didn't say if they changed the name in through the 1981+ Model years although mine is a 1982 Silverado with the 6.2L diesel So it's pretty uncommon IMO. |
