Rust Removal Question
Question for you guys.
What sand blasters do/did you use for cleaning up the frames on your trucks? I'm looking into getting one and am wondering about the pressure differences, etc among the different blasters. I am trying to avoid getting one that will not have enough "oomph" to clear away the grime, etc. Thank you |

Re: Rust Removal Question
I've been looking seriously at the pressure-pot sand blasters, but a lot of the threads where people use these, its:
- It takes forever - You get sand in places of your body where sand should not be I'm debating, and have been for a while, but I'm likely just going to "pay the man" and get it done by someone else. Someone younger.

Re: Rust Removal Question
I used this one from princess auto up here same as a harbour freight one I’m sure. I did my 65 frame with it and it took alot of hours/days. For smaller jobs I think it’s great I have a big compressor and it keeps up no problem. I had my wife’s 61 frame blasted and coated with endura primer and epoxy this past winter for $1000 plus a bunch of box parts never again will I do all that dirty work and clean up etc. My time is worth $$ . The last pic is her 61 frame. The guy had it blasted and coated and back to me in 2 days . I spent at least 5 good days blasting and then painting mine if not more.
