Brake Line Question
OK - crazy question here! Anyone know what type and how many of each of the little brass "blocks" for the brake lines I need? This is for a 4 wheel disc system, stock frame. Also, where to buy them. 1947 3600.... Any ideas would be appreciated!

You'll need one for every joint...I assume you mean the couplings...it all depends on how many pieces of tube you use and how you route it..you'll need a T for the rear axle and a T for the front ..unless you run 2 fronts from the prop valve...I got all mine at oreillys
Mine is all 3/16 for the fronts and 1/4 to the rear , and then splits into 3/16 at the axle You'll need to determine what thread size you have.. Are you gonna try to do it all in one piece or use the premade sticks like the parts store sells?

A few questions:
Are you using various lengths of brake line from the parts house with the fittings already on them? If that you need a Brake line union between every pair of fittings such as this one https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_6...xoCXAgQAvD_BwE Any parts house that has the brake line should have the fittings though. Those should have the correct ends to go with the flare and the male thread fitting on the tubing. You can buy the tubing in up to 60 inch pre made lengths so a 5 footer and a correct length shorter piece should get you to the spot where you connect the hose for the rear axle to the tube. That is a guess though as you may need a longer length if you have the master cylinder on the firewall. You still need to measure out all of your runs including bends and zigs and zags and then see what is available that comes closet. You will need a Tee on the axle and a Tee on the front brake lines to split the lines to go to each wheel. On the other hand if you are making up your own lines with just the SAE inverted flares you just need the flare fittings and the Tees plus the hoses for the wheels and the axle.

Just buy one of the Speedway brake builder kits. They come with all the pieces you might need.

Ok, guys! I was talking about the "T" fittings that bolt to the frame...…
I was going to try to make my own lines, but am thinking about a "kit" now..... |

Looking at those speedway kits you are spending a lot of money for extra pieces that you won't use. Some of them still require that you flare the tubing if that is an issue.
The only advantage is that if you aren't good at hunting parts and didn't save some of the pieces like the brass Tees some of the kits provide them.

as far as Ts go youll need one for sure...that would be on the rear axle...
my rear axle T is 1/4 inlet and dual 3/16 outlets... on the front one truck I have, the prop valve mounte on the master cyl and goes down to a T on the frame for the front...1/4x3/16x3/16 the other truck the prop valve is mounted down on the frame and no Ts are needed for the front on it... if your gonna make your own lines youll need a good brake line flare tool for the double reverse flares

Sorry, I bought the stainless bolt kit for my truck already polished. Reducing the drag on all those parts will gain an unmeasurable amount of speed and fuel economy.
