82 rear lower

I bought this truck with a rear lower kit in it and I have it as low as the kit allows , just wondering if this front lowering mount is as low as there is or is there a lower one ????? , just want the rear of this thing about an inch lower

Re: 82 rear lower

Has it got an axle flip kit in it? If so put a block in it. If not put a flip in it and then adjust the shackle to get it the height you want.

No flip kit or that would make it easy, was trying to avoid putting one in.

It would be your best way of getting what you want.

Re: 82 rear lower

I think he is beyond doing a flip kit.

A flip kit usually nets about 6" of drop.

His bracket lowering is usually good for 4 inches depending on manufacturers. So combine the 2, and he is on the ground.

I see only 2 options here.

1. De-arching your springs for the drop you want, and using your adjustable shackle to dial it in. First I would run the bolts down a couple of notches. That way you build in some adjustments.

2. Put the factory hangers back on, and the so a flip kit.
