I love how when you look at a finished job it looks so easy..Like there was nothing to it.
No one will ever understand the amount of labor that was involved. |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
When we got everything graded, we had our concrete guys come and pour the bottom of the pool. When they were finished, the foreman said "Now I remember why we don't build pools anymore.".
We got a little closer this week. I hauled a couple of loads of gravel today so we could grade for the deck this weekend.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
looking good Larry, got my trunks and beach towel ready!
I really like that mack.. fuel range make it to lone jack? pulled forms today and a little cleanup.. trying to decide what kind of grass and sprinklers grade and fall is perfect without drains, cell phone wide shot distorts a lot..

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Mack's take some getting used to, but once you get settled into one they are great trucks. I haven't driven that one much, so I still rake a gear once in a while. That old dude has some power. If you can ever get out of traffic, and into high gear, you just sit back and drive.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Your pool house is bigger than than the kids.
I built that little pool house about 12 years ago for my granddaughter a playhouse. It had a loft and kitchen in it (tiny house). Then my grandson used as his fort. He actually used it more than she did. Now another wave of grandkids is coming along, down in the central part of the state, and my wife is planning building projects for the kids down there for week after next.

I reckon my joint runs light on the sq', too. I judge how large some houses I've worked on by how many of mine would fit inside

Re: My Facetruck thread.
My electric bill is never under $100 and I still get a 25% employee discount.
My wife doesn't seem to realize that the light switches have an off position and the hot tub doesn't have to run night and day. WTH. If it makes her happy. I'll pay the bill. No need to argue.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Since its 34° and snowing I put the shower base in and new high r insulation on the exterior walls . The fiberglass insulation is just for noise suppression putting the cement board up tomorrow. Right now it's time for a few of these . 9.5 % alcohol 4 and I'm done

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I also think that’s interesting. Risk was handled differently back then. I suppose if no one pulled out in front of him that probably turned out fine.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
There is no mention of the poor clutch. I wonder how many gears under he had to start out in.
The brakes are another thing. I'm not sure how the compressor would keep up with all those axles. He would have to use the pedal sparingly. I'm going to guess the route was planned well. Thanks for posting.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Well, "downhill" in Montana isn't like "downhill" in a lot of places. I expect that this publicity stunt had flaggers everywhere and may well have had someone walking in front of the truck in shifts. I can't imagine this truck making any kind of speed without someone pulling in front of him and causing serious mayhem.

That guy should stop eating doughnuts. He is rather rotund, and has some serious mental issues obviously.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
120 cars is what ICC allows freight trains here! But so what? So he moved 120 trailers 100 meters in a straight line. What is the longest road train operated on public roads? That's all I care.
This might be the longest on the road, 6 trailers @ 200 ton 182' ore hauler. Stays under 40 mph, has a 14 litre @550 hp Thanks a heap! I just spent 20 minutes on You tube watching road trains
